He disappeared and five minutes later, our waitress appeared holding my wife’s credit card and a check. We literally waited 15 minutes and then accosted the manager again. Strangely, she didn’t ring it up at the bar but took it in the kitchen. She appeared with the bill and took my wife’s credit card. We finally tracked down the manager and he found her in the back.

After spending an hour or so, we tried to locate our server to no avail. She took a long time but we finally got our drinks. After awhile our server appeared and we ordered drinks.

After mulling around the front of the cafe for awhile with others who were lost, we wandered into the cafe and claimed a table near the bar. They don’t give you any clue as to where you should go to get seated. Our first warning that this is a poorly managed restaurant was the chaos at the entrance. While in the area we thought we’d have drinks at the Cafe and watch Jerry Blavat perform one afternoon.
